Latest Project

I think you can tell for yourself who is visiting my house and who discovered that crayons work better on walls. Thank goodness for Mr. Clean sponges!

I went to an estate sale yesterday and found an old stool with cool legs for $3.00. It had two wiggly legs and a cat scratched cover.

I fixed the legs and recovered it. Here's how it looks now-
Closer-

The cover is made from 4 placemats (out of a set of six) that I picked up from Goodwill ages ago for about $3.00. They look like they are from Pier 1 originally. They were part of the "too precious to cut" fabric pile. I had planned on making three pillows out of them and putting them on my bench out on the porch. I was going to recover the bench in black and go for an Asian theme.

However, I left my Chinese satin slippers out on the back porch for only 15 minutes in the sun last week and they were bleached so badly I had to throw them away. I realized the pillows wouldn't stand a chance outside. They really look good sewn together on this stool though. And, I have two left over for a pillow.
