The wedding

My youngest daughter was married on July 19th. She wanted a very simple wedding at a nearby church. This was a DIY wedding and I was responsible for beautification (that of course morphed into "the reception"). Here are a few pictures. I will put up most of the pictures on Picassa so it won't slow down the loading of this page.

Wedding Time!

My daughter is getting married soon! Unfortunately, she gave me little notice. She could not find a venue so she thought she would do it next year. About 2 months ago, she found a venue for this year!

We've been scrambling for a wedding dress that will fit our budget (low) and my daughter's sense of style. We found a little known treasure out in LaConner, Washington called "The Godmother's Closet."

The owner, Lisa Morris, has a small but unbelievably lovely shop. She carries all the beautiful and high quality dresses you might see in high end shops but not one is over $500! (I verified this, folks. I went to a shop where not one dress was under $2000 and I saw most of Lisa's dresses there but at much higher prices.) Look at some of the other lovelies she has- tons of tiaras!

Her shop is a real jewel. Here's her info, but if you call, leave a message because her daughter is sick and Lisa is often in the hospital with her. Make it a day trip because LaConner is such a beautiful little town to look around in. Don't forget to go out to Christiansen's Nursery if you go.
